AFRICA'S TRAGEDY IN A NUTSHELL

Only one word can fully capture Africa's tragedy: impunity. The powerful daily commit crimes, even crimes against humanity, and get away with it. For years, I have called them “career criminals behind presidential desks”. For half a century, Africa has been ruled by these dictators and tyrants I have often referred to as “little devils coated in human skins”. Hard to stop coining new terms to fit this specie that continues to reproduce itself and enslave millions of human beings: looters-in-chief, Mafiosi-in-chief, assassins-in-chief, terminators-in-chief…

Africans deserve a bright future, not the current and very primitive form of political, economic, and social system.  Call it capitalism 1.0 and you will be wrong, 100% of the time. This is capitalism version 0.0001 where the greed and the crimes of the powerful are rewarded, a place where criminals, with their animalistic behaviors, have found ways to hijack the entire continent, a place where the rule of law has been replaced by the rule of crime with the entire world watching and often playing a key role in that tragedy.
