As long as there is an
international market for stolen goods from the Congo, the Rwandan, Ugandan, and
Congolese thieves will not stop plundering the riches of the Congo. What do
they get in exchange? Peanuts, because the benefits mostly go to the middlemen,
a truth farmers have learned for centuries. Also as long as there are (1)
motivated offenders in the region, mostly the dictators of Rwanda, Uganda, and
the Congo and (2) ineffective guardianship of Congo's riches (weak security
forces, weak justice system, poor institutional capacity in the Congo,
poor justice system and weak institutional capacity in Rwanda and Uganda
to prosecute dictators Kagame and Museveni and their friends), then Congo will
remain an attractive target for those dictators and thieves whom I've coined
"little devils in human shape". Let's put it straight: are we
encouraging the Chinese to send troops into the Congo? Are we encouraging the
Chinese to engrave a new script into Congolese mind that the West does not care
about the Congo? Dictators, no matter the color of their skin, are a threat to
world security. Their atrocities are reported live on the Internet, cable TV,
and all types of communication tools readily available in this Digital Age. It
is time for the international community to expel Rwanda and Uganda from all
international organizations. Let them withdraw their troops from Somalia and
Darfur; the world will always find good soldiers to fight extremists. let's put
an end to Rwanda and Uganda blackmailing the international community. Let's
build a Dictatorship Free Zone (DFZ) to replace the current dictators of
Rwanda, Uganda, and the Congo. The time is now because the world is watching
more than ever!
